Juggernaut Unleashes the Wild

Juggernaut Wines brings its bold, nature-inspired labels to life in a dynamic new video campaign. The four animated spots highlight the essence of Juggernaut wines—crafted from grapes grown in extreme conditions that challenge the vines, resulting in wines of remarkable depth and character.

“Juggernaut harnesses the power of nature to produce compelling wines as expressive as the alpha predators on our labels,” said Jessica LaBounty, Director of Marketing at Bogle Family Vineyards. “Adventure awaits in every bottle.”

The striking illustrations featured on Juggernaut’s labels—a lion for the Cabernet Sauvignon, a great white shark for the Chardonnay, an osprey for the Pinot Noir, and a killer whale for the Sauvignon Blanc—were created by renowned illustrator Ivan Belikov.

“Fans often tell us that it was the art on the labels that first caught their eye on the shelf,” said LaBounty. “This campaign gives us the chance to take those illustrations beyond the bottle—to animate them and tell a deeper story.”

Created by Agency SOS and Laundry Studios, the campaign debuts as YouTube pre-roll ads and will continue running throughout the year. (Read more below the videos about how the campaign was developed.)

For John Kovacevich, Creative Director at Agency SOS, the challenge was to expand the static illustrations into moving, living worlds that reflect the wines themselves.

"I loved the detail in the illustrations, but even more, I loved that they hinted at a larger story behind each varietal,” said Kovacevich. “Each predator is a metaphor for the vines—grit, strength, and determination yielding something extraordinary.”

Each spot transports viewers into the world of these creatures, immersing them in the rugged landscapes where Juggernaut grapes thrive.

“The lion is bold, strong, and muscular—just like the Cabernet Sauvignon. It moves through the rocky hillsides where these grapes are grown,” said Kovacevich.

“The osprey is both fierce and elegant, soaring over the Russian River Valley, home to the Pinot Noir. The great white shark—fittingly for the Chardonnay—has some bite, just like the grapes that grow in its coastal climate. And the killer whale reflects the mastery of its environment, much like the Sauvignon Blanc.”

Bringing these concepts to life was a collaboration with Laundry Studios, known for their detailed and visually rich animation.

“We spent time imagining what happened just before the moment captured in each illustration,” said Kovacevich. “Laundry took those ideas and crafted stunning, visually dynamic mini-stories.”
